Stern Trawler developed by SENER for China National Fisheries Corp.
During the final week of September, a meeting was held in Wuhan, China to examine the conceptual ship design developed by SENER and the China Ship Design & Development Centre (CSDDC). The examination consisted of an initial presentation of the project by SENER and CSDDC, after which a jury of experts in fishing and designing vessels of this type was assembled by the ship builders (CNFC) to verify its suitability. The design was accepted and described as modern, high tech, and environmentally friendly, while also being cost efficient and safe.
FSYSD, new FORAN diagrams module
SENER Ingeniería y Sistemas, S.A. has developed a new application from the FORAN System for the complete management of the functional diagrams of the systems onboard. The new module, named FSYSD (Foran SYStem Diagrams) will be incorporated to the commercial release V70R2.0.
Advanced FORAN-PLM integration in a naval shipbuilding environment
SENER has developed an advanced architecture for the FORAN – PLM integration, to be used in a naval shipbuilding environment. It intends to comply with the most demanding requirements of the military shipyards as well as to maintain the efficiency, the scalability and the performance of the shipbuilding CAD tool.
New tool for solid modeling of pipelines in FORAN
In V70r1.0, Machinery and Outfitting subsystem of FORAN counts with a new tool for routing of pipes, ducts and cable trays in solid model, that significantly increases the efficiency of the design comparing with routing commands available up to now.
FORAN V70, launched by SENER in November, represents a new generation of CAD/CAM/CAE Systems for the design and production of ships and off-shore platforms.
